Shared death experiences are usually defined as a near death experience that is “shared” by multiple people at the same time. In other words, it’s very similar experientially as an NDE, but instead of ONE person having the adventure and reporting it later, it’s often an experience that several people (at least 2) have simultaneously, and can report on later with strikingly similar features. This is a game changer in the research into what is really happening during an NDE for obvious reasons, as it nullifies many of the hallucination oriented (or purely physical) explanations many secular scientists use to explain the experience away.

Here Dr Raymond Moody discusses shared death experiences and his own work and writing on this truly inspiring and inexplicable spiritual adventure.
